What do I do?

Content, Objects and Experience

Content is my bread and butter. Be it diving into collections, scientific theories, history or talking to curators historians and scientists; I have extensive experience at getting to the heart of a subject. I like to think I’ve developed skills to get the most out of the resources at hand, from the most passionate of scientists, stalled project team, sprawling archive or enthusiastic curator.

Interpretation and Exhibition Development

Whether you need a small exhibit update, new exhibition or help in planning for an entire museum, I can help. I have extensive experience in organising content then developing unique visitor experiences, all while being audience focused.  I write and edit gallery text too and help develop storyboards for AV and digital interactives.

Being Creative

Thinking laterally, being bold and joining clients up with amazing producers, designers, makers and developers can rescue a stalling project, or make an exhibition fly. Of course, seeing visitors enjoy my work is rewarding, but the creative process of getting to that point really excites me, and is something I can help facilitate. Often projects can get so big the creative heart can get lost. I can help find inspiration in the content, not just for visitor enjoyment, but for commercial benefit too.

Not just Museums and Attractions

I’ve developed engagement, content and design strategies for apps, web and print media, which aren’t linked to museums or attractions. It turns out the process is pretty universal, so if you’re not from the cultural sector – don’t hesitate to get in touch.
